Ostick + Williams was appointed to act as local architects and planning consultants working in partnership with the Athens based Coca-Cola HBC project team for the design of a Single All-Ireland Production Site (SIPS) and HQ facility.
A full Environmental impact assessment was undertaken in a 3 month period and planning permission for the green field site on the edge of Lisburn City, including the abandonment of a public road through the site, was received in January 2006.
The 13,000m2 production floor comprises of 8 separate production lines all closely integrated, each delivering product directly into the 18,500m2 warehouse facility supplying product to the whole of Ireland. The production floor is linked closely to the 12,000m2 specialist production support area which includes; filling clean rooms, QA Laboratories, water processing facilities, compressor rooms, steam generation boilers and a syrup manufacturing area. All have been designed in line with good manufacturing process (GMP) standards.
